The Faculty of Economics and Management at SPU in Nitra participated in the international #ErasmusDays initiative again in 2026. As part of an event titled “Digital Marketing in Vocational Education: Opportunities and Challenges in Ghana,” she presented the DigiMarkt project to students, which combines the development of digital skills with vocational education and international cooperation.
The event took place on October 13, 2026, on the faculty’s campus. Dr. Anna Mravcová presented the project, explaining its focus, main objectives, partner organizations, and activities to date. Dr. Jana Gálová, the local project coordinator for SUA, also attended the event. Attention was also given to the role of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, which is one of the six project partners and leads the work package focused on educational materials and mentoring.

The Erasmus+ project “Towards Digital Marketing in Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Ghana” (DigiMarkt), No. 101182663, falls under the area of capacity building in technical and vocational education and training. From 2025 to 2026, it supports the digital readiness of teachers, trainers, students, and educational institutions in Ghana. Its aim is to supplement professional skills with digital and entrepreneurial competencies that graduates can use when entering the workforce or developing their own businesses.
The presentation highlighted the importance of digital marketing in promoting products and services, reaching customers, and communicating in an online environment. Students learned how the project responds to the changing demands of the workplace and why it takes local conditions and the needs of Ghanaian partners into account when developing educational content. Five work packages were also presented, covering project management, needs analysis, training development, quality assurance, and dissemination of results.
Special attention was given to specific activities that have already been carried out. These included the first digital marketing training session held as part of this project, which was hosted by SPU in Nitra as a partner institution from April 28 to May 2, 2025, with the participation of 20 staff members from three Ghanaian partner universities. Follow-up training sessions in Leipzig were also presented, focusing on strategic planning, quality management, customer relations, and the use of artificial intelligence in marketing and education. The presentation included photographs of the newly established digital marketing laboratories at the Ghanaian partner universities. These facilities provide the technical infrastructure for hands-on learning and working with digital tools.
The event concluded with a short quiz on the Kahoot platform, in which students tested their knowledge of the DigiMarkt project as well as their knowledge of Ghana and the partner countries in a fun way. The most successful participants were rewarded with small gifts.
The project coordinator is Steinbeis Beratungszentren GmbH from Germany. The partnership also includes Int@E UG from Germany, the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA), and three Ghanaian universities: Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU), and Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU).
The event introduced students to another aspect of the Erasmus+ program, through which universities can jointly develop educational content, support teachers, and create new opportunities for hands-on learning. FEM’s participation in the #ErasmusDays initiative thus highlighted the importance of international partnerships in linking education to the needs of the workforce.
