Dissertation exam and defences

According to Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education, a PhD student is required to pass the following state exam during their studies:

By successfully defending the dissertation thesis, the PhD student completes their studies and is awarded the academic degree PhD (“philosophiae doctor”).
